Program Synopsis

One way to upgrade the academic and management standards of the primary schools is through upgrading of the academic qualifications of the administrators, namely the Headmasters, Senior Assistants and Supervisors. This program has been tailor-designed to equip school administrators and supervisors with the necessary skills, expertise and knowledge they require to manage modern schools.

Candidates must have a minimum of 120 credits to qualify for the degree

Note
One credit hour is equivalent to 40 study hours. As such, for a three-credit hour course, a student is expected to spend at least 120 study hours, which comprises tutorials, online discussion and self-managed learning.

Bachelor of Education with Honours (Science)

Program Synopsis

The Bachelor of Education (Science) program is tailor-made for in-service teachers. The program is designed to enable these teachers obtain their university degree. The curriculum focuses on three main components:

  • development of the learners pedagogical knowledge;
  • enhancement of the learners teaching and student-assessment methodology;
  • Improvement of learners knowledge in science.

The integrated approach of the curriculum is designed to increase the students skills so as to be able to stimulate the students intellectual interest in the sciences and guide them towards academic success.

This program has a course combination in the fields of education and science. Candidates are required to accumulate minimum 120 credits in order to graduate.

Program Synopsis

The Bachelor of Education (Mathematics) degree program is tailor-made for in-service teachers.

The curriculum focuses on three main components:

  • development of learner pedagogical knowledge
  • enhancement of learner teaching and learners-assessment methodology
  •  improvement of learner knowledge in science
