The Achievement Award Scholarship is more known as TAAP. TAAP means The Achievement Award Program. This program is quite famous to incoming students. Incoming students are those who have completed the admission process and waiting to starting the class. Current students apply for this scholarship too. Because of the benefits of this program, lots of students compete for this scholarship. Number of competitors are high, but they are not from everywhere. Only students of University of California, Berkeley are eligible for this scholarship. And if the applicant is applying for Masters programs in University of California, Berkeley, he/she is not eligible. The Achievement Award Program is only for undergraduate students who are about to get admitted in this university of current undergraduate students of this university.

Benefits of this Scholarship:

Although there are two different types of applicant for this scholarship, the benefits are same. No matter whether the winner is a current student or incoming student, if he/she can achieve this award, the benefit will be $6000 and a laptop. This benefit is not for once. Every year of 4 years education program $6000 will be awarded. So the benefits of this scholarship are:

• $6000 every year ( for 4 years)
• A laptop (1 for full academic years)

Eligibility:

Before applying for this scholarship, first of all make sure that you are eligible. There are some specific eligibility which must be met by an applicant in order to be selected for this award. The eligibility are:

1. The annual income the family of the applicant can not be more than $8600. This income is over-all family income.
2. Applicant must have applied for admission in University of California, Berkeley before applying for this scholarship
3. Applicant must have applied for undergraduate admission
