Program Description: | Western Illinois University’s English as a Second Language Institute (WESL) offers the WESL International New Student Scholarship to ALL new, non-government sponsored students enrolled in the WESL program. Eligible students will receive a $1,000 scholarship for the academic year. This scholarship will be applied to the students tuition, $500 in the Fall and $500 in the spring. | ||

Eligibility Requirements
Requirements 1: | Must be newly admitted international student to Western Illinois University and Western’s English as a Second Language Institute. |
Requirements 2: | Must be a newly admitted international student to WIU and WESL who is non-government sponsored. |
Requirements 3: | Must be enrolled in WESL courses. |
Requirements 4: | Scholarship is applied automatically to the students account. |
Requirements 5: | This scholarship can be used towards tuition only and is applied directly to the student’s account. |
